A time to remember

During November, we pay tribute to all those who have fought for the freedoms we enjoy today. Thank you to all of you who have joined in the efforts to defend what we believe in. You are our true heroes.

And as we reflect on the lives that were lost protecting our country, we mustn’t forget the grief of those who are left behind—especially our children. They are often overlooked, and their grief, without proper support, can lead to physical and mental struggles now and in the future. In our Costco Life section, you can read about how the Children’s Grief Foundation of Canada is helping to support our children.

This issue will also bring you some great tech solutions to help make life just a little bit easier. You can learn more about taking great photos and videos with your smartphone or action camera. I recently took an Alaskan cruise. One of the many highlights was the amazing food. Thanks to the savvy booking of my niece, we enjoyed several of the ship’s exclusive restaurants. We also frequented a variety of specialty dining venues—coffee shops, ice cream counters and pizza places. Our breakfasts at the buffet were a great start to each and every day.
