Sustainability commitment

For Costco to thrive, the world must thrive — we are committed to doing our part.

For a complete review of our initiatives, please visit our Global Sustainability Commitment. Below are some examples of the efforts made by Costco Wholesale Canada Ltd.

HIGHLIGHT STORY

Farm & Zoo Donations

Costco warehouses across the country partner with local zoos and farms to divert food that is no longer fit for human consumption. Not only does this contribute to Costco’s waste diversion from landfill commitment but it is also an excellent way to give back to the communities where we operate.

“We not only donate to a Food Bank, we also donate to a local pig farmer and an animal sanctuary. We are extremely honoured to be able to provide a positive contribution in our community! - Costco Employee
