Measure First
You found the product that fits your lifestyle—now make sure it fits in your house. Certain types of products may be larger than others, so use this guide to ensure your purchase can be successfully delivered and installed.
-
Measure the length of ledges, the width of openings, and the base if there is molding.
-
Measure clearance for fixed cabinetry/walls. Room is needed for full use of certain products (eg. refrigerator doors, ovens, microwaves, etc.)
Every product has different dimensions. Please reference Costco.ca for your products’ exact dimensions. Be sure to check ALL dimensions—including depth—to ensure a proper fit.
Your new product may need a little room to breathe to make sure there is no over-heating within its designated space.
Not leaving proper space could result in poor performance and possibly even fire. Please make sure to leave the minimum recommended distances as provided by the manufacturer.
Before we arrive at your residence, ensure a clear path from the street to the residence entrance (clear ice, snow, debris, etc.) and that the home has an accessible path (move furniture, toys, pets, etc.).
For safety purposes, our In-home Services teams cannot lift or hoist merchandise over banisters, countertops or other obstructions, or through windows to complete a delivery.
Please review your electrical needs prior to purchase. Some appliances may need to be hard wired.
Electrical connections must be made and fuel systems installed by qualified and licensed personnel. Improper installations present hazards, which can result in personal injury or property damage. Please contact a licensed residential electrician and your local natural gas or propane supplier for these services.
